Frequently Asked Questions

Do students need a foundation for a Supreme Aptitude course?

Students need to have a basic understanding of the fundamentals of the associated main subject (e.g. Economics for Behavioral Economics). This basic knowledge can often come from a high school international course program (e.g. IB, AP, A-Level, etc.). A student taking an introductory international course at school may choose to take a Supreme Aptitude course program simultaneously.

Is the program too difficult for high school students?

"No. The Supreme Aptitude program is based on the same-level university textbook and can be taken by high school students with good academic skills. The depth of knowledge is more profound than in the AP program, but the comprehension requirements are the same.

How does completing a Supreme Aptitude course help with college applications?

Students can include their experience and grades in their college applications to demonstrate that they have accepted the challenge of taking a demanding course, that they can excel, and that they are interested in exploring their major in depth. Students can also use what they have learned in interviews with college professors and in college application documents.

What if I don't do well on a final examination?

Suppose a student is not satisfied with their final grade. In that case, Gocademy offers one supplementary examination per course, for which the student has to pay a separate additional examination fee of SGD$100. After the make-up exam, students can choose the higher score of the two exams as their grade.

How complex are the exams?

The difficulty level of the exams is the same as that of the knowledge and questions lectured in the classroom, and the emphasis of the exams is on whether the student has understood the content taught in the course.
